Couple's charming getaway
We had a cozy stay at this lovely hotel. The room was spacious and clean, and the kitchenette was a nice touch for late-night snacks. Gilles was super friendly, always eager to help, and his dog Cosette? Absolutely adorable, adding warmth to our mornings.
It wasn't exactly inexpensive,, but for what we got, it was fair enough.

Where it excels and where it fails
The location is excellent! Just steps to the tram, making airport access easy. Friendly service from Gilles and his adorable dog Cosette made our stay even better. Breakfast options were fresh and delicious!
The decor is quite dated and lacks modern fiiness. Additionally, some noise from traffic could be heard during the night. light sleepers might want to consider this.

We had a great stay with a group of friends! The location was perfect, just a short walk to the Promenade des Anglais and the Nice Museum of Fine Arts. Our room was large and clean, and breakfast was fantastic with fresh pastries and everything you could want. Gilles was an excellent host, offering tips and helping us navigate the area easily.
However, we did experience some noise from the rooms above us during the nights, which was a bit disruptive.

Breakfast was included in the rate.
During our stay, we encountered significant noise from the main road outside. Despite being aware of the previous reviews, it was more disruptive than expected, especially late into the night. The bathroom could use some updates for a better experience. Overall, the place felt a bit tired, which left us disappointed given the expectations.

I had a great stay at Hotel Victor Hugo. The location impressed me. it’s just a quick stroll to the beautiful Promenade des Anglais and charming Old Town. My room was spacious and clean, featuring a kitchenette that made it easy to prepare light snacks. Breakfast stood out with its delicious spread of pastries and fresh fruit. Gilles, the host, made everything feel welcoming. His tips about local attractions enriched my experience. Cosette, the adorable dog, greeted me each morning, adding a personal touch. However, I noticed some noise from the tram and the street, especially at night. It may disturb light sleepers. Overall, I really enjoyed my time here and would recommend it to anyone visiting Nice.
